If you’d like to talk to a professional, NEDA has a hotline you can reach at 800-931-2237 from 9am-9pm MTWR and 9am-5pm F (EST). They also have an online anonymous chat on their webpage here, about halfway down the left side of the page you’ll see the green CLICK TO CHAT/LEAVE A MESSAGE box.

National Association of Anorexia and Eating Disorders

ANAD provides information, answers, support, guidance, and treatment resources for those suffering from eating disorders, and their families and friends. They offer phone and email support, regional support groups, and related services and information. Call 630-677-1330 or email anadhelp@anad.org. The ANAD Eating Disorders Helpline is open M-F 9am – 5pm (CT).

Eating Disorders DrugRehab.com is a web resource that provides information and support to people fighting addiction and related mental health illnesses.
Individuals with eating disorders are up to five times more likely to abuse alcohol or other illicit drugs than those without eating disorders. The connection between eating disorders and drug abuse starts with the drugs themselves. The drugs contribute positive feelings that may substitute for food; weight loss is also a side effect of drug use.
